Note: Subjects with an asterisk (*) are allotted two hours of time. The evening shift runs from 1:30 PM to 3:30 PM, while the morning shift is from 9 AM to 11 AM.
Important Instructions to Students for Assam HSLC Exam Routine 2026
-> Extra Time: Five minutes extra time is given from 8:55 AM to 9:00 AM in the Morning shift and 1:25 PM to 1:30 PM in the Afternoon shift to read the Question Paper only. The Officer-in-Charge will arrange to distribute Question Papers accordingly.
-> Modern Indian Languages (MIL): Nepali, Mizo, Khasi, Garo, Karbi, Urdu, Assamese, Bengali, Bodo, Hindi, Manipuri and Hmar.
-> Elective Languages (Time 3 hours) and In Lieu Languages (Time 2 hours): Each language—Assamese (E), Hindi (E), Manipuri (E), and Santhali (E)—will have a same question paper with groups A and B, irrespective of elective or language proficiency.
-> Candidates offering Elective subject: Must appear in both Groups A and B, but in Lieu Language, applicants must only appear in Group A, which will be classified as Assamese (IL), Bengali (IL), Hindi (IL), Bodo (IL), Manipuri (IL), and Santhali (IL), in that order.
