The government of Assam’s Medical and Health Recruitment Board (MHRB) has published an employment notice for the appointment of 16 Food Safety Officers to the Commissionerate of Food Safety and Drug Administration within the Health & Family Welfare Department. Name of department: Medical and Health Recruitment Board, Assam.

Scale of pay: Rs. 22,000/- – 97,000/-+ Grade Pay Rs. 9,400/- plus other allowances

Age Limit: A candidate should not be less than 21 years and not more than 38 years of age as on 01/01/2023.

Age Relaxation: The category-wise age relaxation is as mentioned below .

1. 5 years for ST/SC (P & H)
2. 3 years for OBC/MOBC
3. 10 years for PwBD for
4. Category-wise vacancy:

• UR: 10
• OBC/ MOBC: 3
•  SC: 2
•  STP: 1

Educational Qualification:

a. A degree in food technology, dairy technology, biotechnology, oil technology, agricultural science, veterinary science, biochemistry, microbiology, chemistry, or medicine from an accredited university,or

b. any other recognized qualification that is comparable and that the Food Authority notifies with prior Central Government permission.
